Co-create 2071, a two-day boot camp organized in Chittagong University on October 14 and 15, 2023, by Preneur Lab on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the USA and Bangladesh with the support of the US Embassy in Dhaka in association with the American Corner in Chittagong, EducationUSA, University of Chittagong and Chittagong University Career Club.
Assistant Proctor and the Moderator of the Chittagong University Career Club, Mr. Afzalur Rahman was there as a guest in the program. Mr. M. Ashraful Tanvir, Head of Operations at Preneur Lab, emphasized the importance of continued learning and friendship between the United States and Bangladesh in shaping the next 50 years.
The bootcamp featured a rich array of offerings, including expert sessions, panel discussions, a policy recommendation workshop, content creation for awareness, and engaging group activities. A total of 120 students from Chittagong University actively participated.
The first day of the boot camp was focused on public policy recommendations. Mr. Palash Mahmud the Deputy Manager of Knowledge Management & Communications of BRAC conducted a session on “Public Policy in Bangladesh” and moderated a group activity on policy recommendations. It was followed by a session on digital content creation to raise awareness by Mr. Nurun Nokib Anim the Content Creation Expert of Preneur Lab.
The second day of the bootcamp centered on the theme of Innovation & Entrepreneurship. Handymama’s CEO Mr. Shah Paran conducted a session on “The Art of Starting a Startup”. Ms. Sauda Meher, Education USA Advisor, conducted a session on “Higher Study Opportunities in the USA”.
Organizers have expressed their intention to expand similar programs to other universities and mentioned that these workshops will provide opportunities for future policymakers, especially young people, to connect with experts and participate in meaningful discussions.
