Experts are Hopeful in Bangladesh and Germany’s Business and Economic Growth

The “Impact Talk” series for this year 2022 was arranged by the Preneur Lab Youth and Innovation Trust and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom Bangladesh. “Bangladesh-Germany 50 Years of Friendship: Entrepreneurship and Economic Growth” served as the seminar’s major topic. On December 22, 2022, at 8:00 PM, the seminar was scheduled virtually.

Germany is regarded as Bangladesh’s second-largest export market and a reliable donor. Germany was one of the first European nations to recognise Bangladesh’s independence from Pakistan in 1972 and establish diplomatic relations. This online conference, which marked the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations, aimed to show how Bangladesh and Germany can work together, exchange entrepreneurial expertise, and progress their individual commercial and economic development.

The potential for business and economic growth between Bangladesh and Germany was the topic of a panel discussion. Preneur Lab co-founder Ms. Rakhshanda Rukham served as the panel discussion’s moderator. She also took a session on the startup environment in Bangladesh. The panel’s special guest speaker was Mr. Kazi H. Robin, an associate professor from World University of Bangladesh. Mr. Quaiyum Runi, a co-founder of Best Aid Limited, and Ms. Chamely Akter, a director of SACK Trading Limited, were the other panelists that spoke. Dr. Najmul Hossain, the FNF Bangladesh country representative, attended the event and offered some insightful commentary.

Mr. Kazi H. Robin spoke about the goals and plans for the development of Bangladeshi entrepreneurs as well as the connections between Bangladesh and Germany in the startup community. The two additional speakers talked about their entrepreneurship experiences, difficulties, and prospects. In addition to moderating the entire panel discussion, Ms. Rakhshanda Rukham spoke about her time serving in the IAF in Germany, the relationship between Bangladesh and Germany, how startups benefit Bangladeshi society and the economy, and more. The speakers and the moderator participated in a Q&A session where the audiences asked questions of their respective presenters.

Dr. Nazmul stressed four points in this session on creating a successful startup. He first advised concentrating on your homework. It implies that you must gather information and speak with individuals. Quantitative and qualitative data should both be present. You also need to possess some skills. Knowledge of what is happening in technology and your needs. Attending seminars, learning online, and reading books are all ways to acquire these skills. The third most crucial point he made was that you must be willing to accept challenges and put in hard work.

Since 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic, Preneur Lab and FNF Bangladesh have been hosting the “Impact Talk” series. Various contemporary social concerns are covered in the “Impact Talk” series, such as entrepreneurship opportunities, innovation, youth empowerment, restrictions, etc. The two organisations created a fresh “Impact Talk” episode with these things in mind. The two groups expressed optimism that certain important issues that will have a long-term positive influence on the relationship between Bangladesh and Germany were presented and debated.
